(1) Be Realistic
The number one piece of advice Jon Vinikoor gives to people is to be realistic. Many people fail to keep their resolutions because they are simply not realistic. Jon Vinikoor tells people to set challenging goals that can still be accomplished. Often times this means being honest with yourself about your capabilities.
(2) Be Specific
The second thing Jon Vinikoor tells people concerns being specific. Setting broad resolutions rarely end well. Jon Vinikoor advises people to set tangible goals. Don’t just say: “I want to lose weight.” Instead, say: “I want to lose 25 pounds by running for 45 minutes on the treadmill each day for a year.”
